Unethical to cut teacher salaries

Regarding the front page article on May 24, “Budget would cut teacher salaries“:

How can our “lawmakers” even suggest that teacher salaries be cut to help balance the budget and continue to give themselves pay raises? And not stop the huge tax breaks for the very wealthy?

In my day, that would have been called irresponsible, unreasonable, unethical…

When are we going to wake up to the railroading the taxpayers are getting? Any woman who runs a household could do a better job at balancing the budget than our highly paid lawmakers.

Cut the “fat,” not the lean.
