There is a lot of controversy over whether we should go to war or let inspectors do their job. There has been a call by some, including people in the United Nations, that we need to have “more” inspectors to do the job in Iraq and spend more time looking for weapons of mass destruction as opposed to going to war.
I agree that we need more inspectors in Iraq, but, being the size of the state of California or bigger, there are a lot of places to hide things. It will take 200,000 to 700,000 inspectors to do the job.
I think we are on the right track. The best men to do the inspections job are those of the U.S. Marine Corps, the Army and the Navy. They certainly could go in as U.N. inspectors and do the job that needs to be done, and they are practically already there. There does not have to be war.
