After reading Mr. Sage’s letter in the Nov. 13 Herald regarding “Trump support was about values,” I was compelled to answer.
What about the values of morality, honesty, equality and concern for all people? Pope Francis when interviewed said Mr. Trump “is not a Christian.” How can evangelical Christians support a person who has shown himself to be a chronic liar, an anti-environmentalist, and one who has only the interests of himself and big business. One only needs to look at how Mr. Trump handled his reelection campaign vs. the covid-19 pandemic to see that he has no value for public safety.
To say that Democrats do not have “values of the faith community” is a gross misstatement. Mr. Biden is a man of faith and so am I. We care first and foremost about people.
