This letter is to thank the Marysville Golden Corral, once again, for an extraordinary “Military Appreciation Night.” The free “thank you meal” to honor all military personnel made our family’s Veteran’s Day celebration truly special.
What a pleasure to be welcomed by the owner, Mike Kossak, who personally escorted our family to seating specially reserved for active and retired military personnel. Even though it was a very busy night for the restaurant, our waitperson, Julie, was very gracious and pampered us nicely with bottomless beverages and bused our table frequently.
This is the third year the Golden Corral has offered free meals to veterans at more than 400 restaurants in 39 states. Last year 252,000 veterans enjoyed free dinners. That equates to nearly $2.5 million! Patriotism, love of country, willingness to serve, sacrifice for the common good, and dedication to protect our nation’s freedom – it’s nice to feel these values are appreciated, and especially with a delicious hot meal. Thank you Mike, Julie and Golden Corral.
