The Fourth of July is a great opportunity to teach children important lessons. They learn that it’s OK to disobey stupid laws like fireworks bans. Doesn’t everyone do it? And that scaring the neighborhood dogs with fireworks is funny. And that it’s hard to track down the culprit if you only shoot them off every now and then. When the kids grow up, they can apply the lessons to other “stupid” laws, like DUI. It’s a great educational opportunity, and parents decide what to teach their kids.
