Millions of dollars are spent on televised advertising. It’s clear we are a visually oriented culture. People desire what they see when it is presented in an enticing manner. The sight of the object produces or intensifies desire – an appetite for the object presented occurs and the objective is achieved – sales.
What if the object presented is not available under any circumstances, and yet it is all around you? The desire has been produced but cannot be fulfilled, because the “object” presented was a child. Virtual child pornography or “regular” child pornography – the result is the same. When the viewer of this material looks around, will it be your child he sees?
