I wish to express my thanks to The Herald for the picture and the nice article by Theresa Goffredo in the local section of the Tuesday, July 2 newspaper. I was very pleasantly surprised to see a picture of myself singing joyfully as I practiced the patriotic songs along with the other members of the Everett Senior Center’s Sunshine Singers.
Coming from Minot, N.D., my visit with my daughter and son-in-law was greatly enhanced by the friendliness and activities at the Everett Senior Center. The high point was riding in the trolley on July 4, winding through the city and singing those “good old songs” under the direction of Bonnie Marriott, who does a terrific job of leading the group.
I’m having a lot of fun showing my friends and relatives the picture and the article and telling them all about the friendliness of the people I met there.
No wonder Everett was picked as an “All-America City” in this good old USA. Thanks again.
