The United Way Snohomish County Day of Caring was a huge success and a great benefit to participating agencies. I would like to thank all of the volunteers from The Herald and Overall Laundry Services, Inc. for participating in the Day of Caring at the South Everett Youth and Community Center on Sept. 12. Thirty employees volunteered their time to paint our facility, trim the trees and pull weeds. These volunteers worked diligently all day and I am very impressed with the amount of community support and involvement that they demonstrated.
And a special thanks goes to Home Depot for their donation of 30 gallons of paint to cover our building. This is truly a very caring and generous community and I feel very proud to be a part of it.
