I’m fed up with the campaigns, both local and national, and I suspect the majority of my fellow citizens would agree. Yet again, all we ever hear about is how bad the opposing candidate is and that we had better vote for so-and-so or fear for our very lives and livelihood if the opposition were to win.
At the very beginning of all campaigns, the candidates promise to run a clean campaign based upon the issues. But their true political natures, voicing gloom and doom about the other guy, take over as soon as they gain any media exposure. The important issues are then lost in the ugly melee.
Enough already! Please, can we just vote now and get it over with so we don’t have to hear or read another character bashing piece of trash that has nothing to do with the truly important issues? That is, until the next campaign … ugh!
