Proposition 1 – Bothell Parks and Publics Spaces Levy is on the Nov. 4 ballot. Please note that almost half the city lies in Snohomish County. This levy will fund $42 million in park and public space improvements in the entire city. The projects range from destination park improvements, such as completing the expanded Park at Bothell Landing, and the purchase and development of a new large park in the Snohomish County portion of the city (including an off-leash dog park, skateboard park, playground and picnic areas); community park improvements such as installation of synthetic turf on North Creek Field No. 3, improvements to East Norway Hill Park, and the expansion of the community supported North Creek Forest; and public spaces projects that include enhancing and extending Main Street, as well as, finishing the multi-way Boulevard project in downtown Bothell.
This levy is projected to cost Bothell citizens $9.68 per month in property taxes based on a $300,000 home. This equates to approximately $.38 cents per day! For this we will move forward in a timely, positive and fiscally responsible way on a community vision that’s been developed and strongly supported throughout the city, and developed over the past 15 years. It’s time to invest in our parks and public spaces. Please Vote yes on Proposition 1.
