Voter resents the change in system

Angry is hardly the word!

This pamphlet mailed out from the Secretary of State says I must pick a party to vote for. Having voted since turning 18 during World War II, I have never voted an all Democrat or Republican ticket. I pick the candidate that convinces me he or she can best do the job.

The first line reads that I must vote for candidates of one political party only. This sounds like dictatorship to me, and I resent it to no end.

The second line reads that voter privacy is protected. If I wasn’t so upset about the whole thing, I could laugh. In today’s computerized sharing of information, nothing is protected, including your last change of skivvies.

Personally, I feel it’s time to make our feelings known, and to protect our right to go into a voting booth, or fill out an absentee ballot, and vote for anyone we damn well please.
