In a constitutional republic like ours how did our state governor get unrestricted power with no time limit over our lives? The Washington state Legislature gave it to him by a resolution. It was that easy.
Perhaps it is time for an initiative petition from the people to be placed on the ballot that prevents this from happening again? No governor should have that kind of power without a time limit. Every loophole should be addressed in the petition. Totalitarianism is un-American. There should be checks and balances to prevent one-man rule. We got rid of the British monarch for less. This will only happen again and again unless we the people change it. There needs to be an initiative petition.
