Regarding the school levy proposed for Marysville School District residents, I will, as I previously did, vote no on this issue. The reason for this is not that I don’t think the kids need it, but I feel the funds are going to be misused.
An example of this is, at present, the Marysville school superintendent’s salary $254,000 a year while our state governor earns $188,000 per year. Somehow it just doesn’t seem right that a small town school superintendent should earn more and not have anywhere near the responsibility. Perhaps if the use of the funds were more defined I would vote otherwise but not as it’s currently written.
