Ron Wambolt is an experienced candidate for Edmonds City Council Position 3. Wambolt has attended City Council meetings consistently for more than three years. Incumbent Jeff Wilson is absent frequently; he has missed four council meetings in the last two months alone. Wambolt understands city government procedures, budgets, public safety needs, and he is committed to development that protects the character of Edmonds’ various neighborhoods.
Wambolt is the only Position 3 candidate who supports the 25-foot height limits recommended by Mark Hinshaw, the city-hired consultant. The incumbent is promising to maintain “existing heights” but has already voted to increase those heights to 30 and 33 feet. Wambolt talks straight. He knows that 25-foot height limits for downtown and the arts corridor are an essential part of good design to preserve the unique historical charm Edmonds’ citizens value.
Wambolt knows we want controlled taxes, revenue from Highway 99 development (not gambling), protection for critical areas and wetlands, parks in all parts of the city, repaired streets, retail business- friendly codes and efficient public safety services. For quality government — vote in the primary for Ron Wambolt!
