It was wonderful to read of the gentleman on Lombard Avenue calling 911 to report a burglary in progress at his neighbor’s home, then having the Everett Police catch the burglar “in the act.” The power of a neighborhood block watch is to thank for preventing this burglary from being labeled unsolved. Great job!
Our nearby neighborhood also has a block watch. In the past week alone, two stolen cars were located on our street, a fight (complete with glass window being shattered at 2 a.m.) was stopped by a quick call to 911, and numerous suspicious activities and people were reported to the police. If you want to keep your neighborhood safe, you must get involved.
Again, kudos to the great neighbor on Lombard Avenue for doing the right thing.
