Waxing presidential

Had to build an entire wing just to make room for Taft: Madame Tussauds wax museum in Washington, D.C., has opened a new gallery in time for Presidents Day that displays wax figures of all 44 U.S. commanders in chief.

The opening was nearly delayed, however, when a rabid birther attempted to overturn the Barack Obama figure, convinced there was a “Made in Kenya” label on its heel.

Another reason not to put your tongue on a light post: After a dog was electrocuted when it stepped on a metal plate near a short-circuited light pole, Seattle City Light checked Seattle’s street lights and found 158 it deemed dangerous because of their potential to shock pedestrians and pets.

We just figured this was Seattle’s way of discouraging people from posting fliers for rock bands, rooms for rent and “Ask me how I lost 40 pounds.”

Have you seen this Democrat? Opposing legislation in Wisconsin that would gut collective bargaining rights for many state employees, 14 Democratic legislators skipped out and left the state, denying Republicans a quorum to bring the bill to a vote.

Wisconsin, a major milk producer, will put the photos of the missing lawmakers on milk cartons, encouraging people to send them back to Madison.
