After reading the Oct. 27 story, “Center for ‘throwaway’ kids to close,” I once again felt angry. So much money is spent in this state on saving the salmon and similar issues. How about spending more money on saving our kids?
As a former employee of the “system,” I saw just how many kids there are that never even had a chance in life because of their parents. Programs like the Source Child Center do their best to make these children feel like they can have a normal, fulfilling life and teach them the things that their parents never did. I would like to commend all people who do work with these “throwaway children” for the work they do. As I said before, instead of saving the salmon, let’s save our children.
