It is imperative that we have a four-year college in Snohomish County that provides liberal arts, as well as a good science program.
I think science and international relations will give our area heads up for the future. Our proximity to the Pacific Rim of the Asian continent, and our role in manufacturing, aeronautical and computer science technology make this area a major player in those fields. International relations will give us the skills to deal with the future interaction with major markets in Asia.
Snohomish County could benefit greatly from this type of college with emphasis in the fields stated herewith.
I urge our leadership to move in that direction as quickly as possible.
