On a run to the local pharmacy, I happened to take note of an elderly woman who was getting her meds and noticed that one of the few cards she pulled out was a Washington SNAP card.
The same card I have.
Lately, I’ve been noticing that a lot of people are on food stamps these days and it made me think that this is going to be our new “normal” for the time being until — if and when — the jobs do decide to come back in force.
And from what I’ve been seeing and witnessing first and second hand, it’s going to be a long, long, time before that happens.
