I read with some amusement David Chircop’s Monday article, “Coyotes growing bolder.” Coyotes are not new to our neighborhoods, we are new to theirs. I’ve not read anything recently on the number of songbirds that free-roaming cats kill (and the cats don’t eat them, they just kill from reflex). As for those yappy little dogs, why don’t people keep their pets inside and leave the few coyotes trying to “make a living” in their increasingly dwindling habitat alone?
