With all of our good intentions of more green and healthful lifestyles, the citizens of the state of Washington are committing tax evasion. Since the state of Washington has some of the highest gas, cigarette and alcohol taxes, by not engaging in these sinful habits we are reducing tax revenues.
This is why we are facing financial shortfalls in public education programs and public works projects in this current financial downturn. If we would all drive high-gas consuming cars, smoke and drink alcohol, I feel that our state financial woes would be alleviated. So let’s all do our part to help build better roads and support our children’s education by contributing our fair share of sin taxes.
