We must speak up to save our police

To those in the community, please speak up to keep the Snohomish Police Department! Losing the Snohomish Police Department is a great opportunity for those drug dealers, burglars or just the simple drunk that gets out of hand. Not because the Sheriff’s Office is less in any way, but realize, if our policemen and women become a part of the Sheriff’s Office they can be pulled away from the town of Snohomish for any other emergency.

We could, inevitably, be left without any coverage for our town. Just like a shark bite, the odds might be in your favor, but if you’re the one in need (or bitten) do you care about the odds? With drugs being a coping method for the youth of today we need all the support we can get. We need to rise up, become that community who cares, who believes it is our business and stop our youth from destroying themselves. It is time we stop looking the other way.

By the way — drugs effect all levels of society, so if you think not my kids, I truly hope you are right.

If it is going to be, it is up to us. Contact the City Council today (<a href="http://www.ci.snohomish.wa.us/CityCouncil.htm
