Everett is a great city with a rich past, a growing present and a thriving future. Everett is not a completely crime-free utopia. As our population increases, so do the challenges that go with running a larger city.
What can we, the citizens of Everett, do when faced with these problems? We can put them on the table, gather accurate information and work together to come up with reasonable solutions.
In her book, “Smart Communities,” Suzanne Morse writes that “how a people in a community see themselves and one another has everything to do with their well-being and that of their community. If they believe that change can happen, it usually does.”
Everett is in an exciting period of transition. It will take all of our voices and combined efforts to continue building our city as an interdependent community that works for all of us.
