During the time Karen Madsen has served on the Everett School Board, we have seen gradual increases in student achievement, percentage of students graduating from high school and accountability to the community.
Karen has been a leader in focusing resources on student achievement, fiscal responsibility and stewardship, and transparency of district operations and is recognized throughout the state for her dedication and expertise as a board member and educator.
She cares about every student in the district and has given many volunteer hours to assuring approval of the local levy that supports one fifth of everything in the district, as well as to gaining support of measures that protect the community’s investment in its school buildings.
We cannot afford to replace Karen with someone with a narrow agenda. Our kids deserve more than that. If we are to continue the trend of continual improvement in Everett schools, we need Karen’s voice for all kids, their families and other community members. Please study the backgrounds, credentials and positions of both candidates and vote for Karen Madsen.
