I read with great interest the articles in the Oct. 22 Herald, concerning the Initiative 745. As an employee in the transportation field, the maps on congestion were the ones that really caught my eye. With the exception of the I-5 and 164th Street SW bottleneck and the Beverly Edmonds Road mess, all the congested areas are in parts of the county with no public transportation. If I-745 passes, is this what we want Snohomish County roads to look like ? I travel the 20th Avenue SE corridor daily. It is no fun, but I have no choice. I urge you to think before you vote on I-745, then I urge you to vote no. We need more public transportation, not less.
