Illegal immigration by the millions, what country has tolerated this type of invasion? Most countries zealously guard their borders. As a senior citizen, a World War II veteran, I have been wondering for years when the folks who are supposed to keep watch on our borders would realize we can’t let in every country’s refugees, unemployed and drug gangsters.
I think many of our public facilities, schools, etc., are taxing this generation to the max! It is time to contact our senators and representatives and let them know how we the people feel about this situation. This Congress is going to set the course for the next decade.
I have no ill will in this matter, but on the present course we could become an overcrowded, bankrupt society in a few years. We need to enforce our immigration laws and know who is eligible to cross our borders legally. We who are paying the taxes and laboring to keep our country free from criminals, disease and people who don’t care to integrate but want us to accommodate them with all the freebies, free health and emergency care, etc. Enough is enough!
The House of Representatives has passed a good, honest bill, H.R. 4437, repealing the visa lottery that allows 50,000 from everywhere to come to the U.S.A., some from terrorist-support countries.
The big chicken pickers and others who love cheap labor are raiding the taxpayers for the health care, food stamps and subsidized housing. U.S. citizens see their pay decrease in competition for local jobs.
In view of the massive debt, inflation and other problems, we cannot afford to see billions of dollars sent out of the country every year by illegals working here. We cannot afford another big amnesty. We ought to control the border at any cost.
