I am a resident of Everett’s Northwest Neighborhood and live three blocks from Providence Everett Medical Center. While I truly believe that a city without historic buildings and strong physical connections to its past is like a person without a memory, I also believe that the value of our past lies in the ability to serve our present and future quality of life. Sometimes this means making tough decisions that involve sacrifices in one area for long-term benefits in another.
Being able to host a world-class cancer care and research facility that draws people from the entire region to our community in search of healing and support during the toughest battle of their lives would be a source of great pride for us all. Let’s continue our dialogue to find a reasonable and affordable solution that will help make this project possible.
