We vote for, not against candidates and parties

I see a letter writer wrote about how the Democratic Party is on the ropes. I wonder if he knows the name of the last Republican governor of the state of Washington. It’s been a long time!

I can remember when California had a GOP majority, not anymore. Same for Oregon. When Barack Obama was elected president, I can also remember people saying, “That’s it for the Republicans.”

I do believe though that neither political party supports their constituents very well. People these days vote because they hate one side or the other. Too bad, but that is the way it is.
