Regarding the recent story (“What killed millions of honey bees at this Everett farm?” The Herald, Dec. 12):
My wife and I plant lavender all around our house in Mukilteo, even on our deck where we enjoy sitting out in the summer. We always have tons of mason bees and bumble bees targeting the lavender; they love it. They are not aggressive, our deck chairs are right next to the lavender. We love watching them forage. But this last summer we had almost none. Where have the wonderful bees gone?
