Let’s agree to be disagreeable: A new poll shows that 47 percent of Americans surveyed have an unfavorable opinion of the tea party, close to the 48 percent of Americans who hold unfavorable opinions of both the Democrats and Republicans.
The good news is that Americans are in complete agreement that they can’t stand the idiots in the one group any more than the morons in the other.

No cellphones? That’s just cruel: Three New Jersey police officers have been suspended after they arrested five teenagers at a loud house party but then left them locked in a police van for 14 hours with no food, water or cellphones.
In defense of the police, the officers believed they had arrested most of the cast of “Jersey Shore” and were protecting the public.
