So, the MeToo movement is insisting that the song, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” be pulled off the airwaves, and moronic radio stations are complying.
Why don’t we ban all holiday music from the airwaves? Let’s remove all suggestions of fun and good cheer from the holiday season. I’m sure Frank Loesser when he wrote the song 70 years ago was suggesting hostage taking and sexual assault. “Rudolf” before he became a hero was called names and was excluded. “Frosty” after all was white and that has to offend someone. In the “Chipmunk Song” an adult is yelling at a young, rebellious chipmunk. “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” is very suggestive. “Silent Night,” who needs silence?
Let’s loudly protest something. “O Come All Ye Faithful,” this has to offend anyone who has no faith in anything. I could go on but I think you can see where I am going with this. When are those few of us left with common sense going to take a stand against this kind of politically correct nonsense?
It may seem humorous and ridiculous until we see the dark side to all of this, a very real threat to our basic freedoms, especially freedom of speech, expression and thought. The “thought police” are out there. Let’s fight back!
Well, have a very Merry Christmas, everyone, and in the immortal words of Tiny Tim, “God bless us, everyone”!
