A tribal linguist has determined that the translation for the Olympic Peninsula town of Sequim, thought for years to mean “quiet waters,” actually means “place for going to shoot” because of good hunting in the area.
Given Sequim’s popularity with retirees, The Buzz had assumed the correct translation was “your turn signal is still blinking.”
