Now they are going as far as not hiring people who smoke, saying it lowers productivity and increases health costs. In other words, if you smoke, you cost more to employ. That sure is an odd analogy. People I know who smoke are some of the most productive. Also, if we are going to hire people based on what they cost to employ, then all women of child-bearing age would never get a job. The lost work time required to have babies and raise them, not to mention the incredible medical costs, is very high.
People who eat snack foods or eggs should not be employable as they will miss time from work because of clogged arteries and will run up medical costs. Perhaps employers should be able to see your entire medical history, a document showing your diet for the last 10 years and a DNA check for possible future problems before they can hire you. If you are overweight, it can be assumed you are lazy and a potential medical risk so they should be able to not hire you based on that. Do you see where this is all heading? Your rights as an individual are taken away one by one until pretty soon you have none.
