Regarding the abduction of the 11-year-old girl caught on a surveillance camera: You can bet the farm on two things.
1. The perpetrator has extensive criminal background.
2. The perpetrator has done his time and been declared fit for society, by judges and social workers with this caveat, “likely to re-offend.”
Hundreds of these predators are released yearly, courtesy of the aforementioned public servants. So what do we do?
A politician recently suggested we outfit our school buses with seat belts admonishing “we can’t wait for an accident to happen to our children.”
But where is the politician with the courage to call for scaffold and rope that we might rid our society of these criminals who are intent on killing our children?
