Regarding the war on terrorism: What happened in New York on Sept. 11 was a horrible thing. Osama bin Laden is an evil man for setting that up to kill many innocent people. But I think the U.S. military is using bin Laden as an excuse to harass and take over the countries that the terrorists are in.
Is it really a war on terrorism or is it really a war against bin Laden? Let’s say the U.S. military in Afghanistan actually found and caught bin Laden. He is going to be tried in court, found guilty and will probably be sentenced to death. Where is America’s war on terrorism going to go after that? I think two things could happen. The U.S. might go into other countries that aren’t cooperative or allies with America and start another campaign of “war on terrorism” while actually harassing the country and bullying them. The other thing that might happen is that this war will slowly fade away after the “spokesman” of terrorism, bin Laden, is gone.
I am worried about what’s going to happen after bin Laden is caught or found dead. I want to catch these terrorists who are so closed-minded that they go around killing innocent people. If bin Laden is caught or found dead, America will have no one to fight terrorism against, unless someone else is stupid enough to attack America again. I am afraid that the efforts put into this campaign in Afghanistan will be a waste.
