What’s it going to take for the American public to get a clue that the current administration is nothing but a group of greedy, self-centered, dysfunctional people who have come to the realization that it’s their way or the highway for the American public?
It’s beginning to seem like about every week something new is revealed on how the administration has made a mess of something. This week it was revealed that over 100 countries offered help in the way of money and materiel right after Hurricane Katrina. The cash portion was close to $1 billion and the administration was only able to disperse $40 million, hello. The Greeks offered cruise ships for free and the administration decided instead to pay millions of taxpayer dollars to an American company for the use of their cruise ships. The Italians sent medical supplies and it was so badly mishandled that it needed to be trashed.
Another administration screw-up: It was revealed that the former head of the CIA has stated that the Iraqi war was basically a foregone conclusion even prior to the 9/11 tragedy. He states that he warned then-National Security Adviser Rice about al-Qaida rumblings in early 2001, only to be ignored.
Hey, how about the little scandal surrounding Paul Wolfowitz and the World Bank? It’s not bad enough he pushes for the war in Iraq and then leaves the administration. Then he thinks that it’s OK to get his girlfriend a new job and a $60,000 raise and then have the audacity to say he didn’t do anything wrong and you can’t make me quit.
What does it take for the American people to finally say “I’m mad as hell, and I won’t take it anymore”?
