Regarding the letter, “O’Reilly refuted untrue allegations”: I am afraid that the writer missed the mark when she tried to differentiate one reporter from another. Bill O’Reilly, just like Brian Williams, has been accused of many lies about his “reporting.” Mr. O’Reilly may have been able to exonerate himself from one accusation, but there are many other exaggerations in his past. As far as the assertion that O’Reilly’s show is the No. 1 rated cable news show on TV, I would say that Rush Limbaugh is very popular on radio as well and for many of the same reasons. One being that much of the audience tunes in just hear what blather will come from their mouths on a given day. Much like the offerings of the National Enquirer or any of the other strange things people look at for entertainment. And why is it that Bill O’Reilly is constantly writing “The Killing of…” books? Does he fancy himself a historian or was he there too?
