We have been snookered again by the Bush administration. Every time it hollers “wolf,” Congress feeds it with our money.
The $700 billion bailout was supposed to help the mortgage crisis; instead they are now pulling a “bait and switch” operation, so they can save their pals (lending institutions.)
The administration is not concerned that there are 10,000 mortgage foreclosures each day. They have dragged their feet for many weeks since the bailout was approved and now have changed directions.
I would guess that when the banks are comfortably situated, and the car manufacturers are bailed out, then the airlines probably will need money, then the construction companies and on and on. Then we will need to have another bailout to solve the mortgage crisis.
I think the secretary of the Treasury should be booted out ASAP.
