Imagine, if you will, the howls of protest from the right if Donald Trump had won the popular vote, but lost the Electoral College. In case anyone needs reminding, such was the case in 2016 with Hillary Clinton. There was dismay and protest then from Clinton supporters which were countered by calls of “snowflakes” and “sore losers,”
Now we have a president who is leaving a broken country in his wake, and several days after the election which he lost decisively, still refuses to concede. Instead he spends his days ignoring the pandemic, golfing and inciting his base to revolt. Very helpful. Whatever is best for the country. Yeah, right.
