I was extremely disappointed in the Herald’s lack of coverage of the Families Belong Together March on June 30. The peaceful march was well attended. I expected to see a number count in the Herald. The signage was worthy of photos or being quoted. I expected to see reference to it in The Herald. The sponsors and organizers, local and national, did an excellent job of organizing the event that started and ended on time. I expected to see them listed in The Herald. The speakers were on point, kept it short and had quotable quotes I was looking forward to reading about in The Herald.
What an important topic. What a missed opportunity to let those living in fear of our government know that people of Everett care. This event was front page news. At very least, it was local front page news. But no, instead we heard about the voter pamphlet and learned that a teacher’s car was vandalize. Come on. What were you thinking? Where is your ability to prioritized what’s really important?
