I read the story about the Marysville man pleading guilty to hit and run. He hit a woman so hard she rolled on the hood of his car and rolled off. He stopped a few yards away knew he hit someone and drove off. He left this woman with broken bones and a lacerated liver. He hid his car for weeks. His punishment is up to a year in jail. With time off for good behavior he will be out in eight months.
My son is in the Marysville jail on six misdemeanors. He was maxed out on each charge and they are to run consecutively for a total of over 2,000 days or seven years. These are theft charges or shoplifting. He is a heroin addict who relapsed after 174 days, so no more treatment, just go to jail. The judge called him a virus on society, but he never injured anyone and left them broken on the side of the road, yet he will spend more time in jail.
