Imagine my shock and surprise when The Herald came out with a lengthy, enthusiastic and ringing endorsement of Gov. Jay Inslee for another four years in the governor’s mansion.
Apparently, this endorsement was based on Inslee’s television ads. Then, of course, came another endorsement for Bob “What Constitution?” Ferguson for attorney general, in spite of his disregard for the rule of law and the state constitution and his obsessive time-consuming and waste of tax-payers’ money suing the Trump administration. Want to bet how often he sues the Biden administration? T
The Herald and other local newspapers (and I use the term “newspapers” loosely) seem to endorse anyone from the left no matter how incompetent they may be. I am more convinced than ever that our local newspapers would endorse a tree stump if it had a “D” carved into it.
Unfortunately, too many voters in this region vote the same way. I can only hope and pray that we, the people, can see the danger of continuing to elect these politicians who are destroying our nation from within.
The cliché “the definition of insanity is continuing to do the same things over and over and expect different results” applies here. “All it takes for tyranny to succeed is for good men (and women) to stay silent.” Alas, as for me I am sorry to say that after more than 30 years I will seriously consider letting my subscription to The Herald expire. Its left-leaning slant to everything it prints including “straight” news is, at last, too much for me.
