What is our country coming to when the name of God goes on trial in a court and is condemned to be deleted from our Pledge of Allegiance? Our state law directs our students, if they so desire, to recite it or be silent. If some people do not want the name of God in the pledge, it is their business. But when a judge rules in their favor, I find it appalling. What kind of message does this judge send to us and to our children? I feel sorry for the man who deemed it necessary to go to court to destroy part of our beautiful Pledge of Allegiance.
