It’s very difficult to take seriously the hundred or so people who showed up for those tea bag protests. Isn’t it interesting that they didn’t happen to have any of these protests while Republican presidents Reagan and the two Bushes were running up $13 trillion of debt. Let’s all be honest and acknowledge the truth: these protesters are just the remnant, sour-grapes Republicans who were just clearly informed that the way their party’s representatives have been running this country into the ground was no longer acceptable to the rest of us.
Unfortunately, now we all have to deal with those spend and spend and spend policies of the Republican Party.
The time for them to have sincerely complained about spending, and the subsequent tax increases that might be
needed to pay for that spending, was during the past three Republican presidencies, when all that debt was being created.
