On the other side of the argument, it is unfair to make taxpayers pay health care costs for people on the dole, many of who do not want to work, contribute or do their fare share. We taxpayers have to pay for peoples’ bad choices, decisions and unhealthy lifestyles. What a nation this has become?
Those who take personal responsibility for their life, contribute to the greater good by working, paying taxes, and the freeloading parasites who expect, demand a free ride and demonstrate if they don’t get it. The truth is: They don’t get it, and until our government cuts the cord (“safety net” in politician speak), they will never get off the dole. Even President Obama said, “We’ve got to have the American people doing something about their own care.”
