I carefully read the Sunday article, “On urban trails, trouble strikes quickly,” and am confused about something. Etiquette on the trail states for users “Use the right side of the trail except when otherwise designated.” The article states “The Wedlunds are adamant that they were walking on the left side of the trail with their dog …” The picture also shows the Wedlunds walking on the left side. Am I missing something here? It appears they were all traveling in the same lane and if so, a collision was practically unavoidable.
