The Herald did an excellent article on the story about the helicopters out of range, during the Marysville Pilchuck School shootings. I read this article several times and cannot believe what a mess the UW Medicine has created. This is all very unfortunate, given the tragic situation that prompted all this misinformation. I also question the Seattle Times article now, as I would have thought that their newspaper would have verified its source for accuracy before going to press. When are heads going to roll? Spisso and Bulgar should be thoroughly investigated as their behavior lacks professionalism to say the least. Also, their spokesperson Tina Mankowski appears to back up their stories, which have proven to be untrue.
I hope The Herald stays on this story and reports their findings to the public, as this only adds more tragedy to an already very sad time for everyone involved with the shootings in Marysville. Thank you to Providence and all the paramedics and emergency personnel who so promptly helped the victims.
