I was raised with — and still subscribe to — the foundation of duty, honor, country. Honor requires truth, duty requires honor. Together, the country, the greater good is served.
Trump has none of these learned qualities. Significantly, he is a narcissistic and pathological lair, who really believes that a lie said enough times will be accepted as fact, i.e. no collusion/no corruption; Mexico will pay for the wall; I’ll release my taxes; I’ll gladly talk/testify to Mueller; Stormy Daniels is a liar. And yet the Trumpist base accepts him, and dismisses the lies and behavior of an adolescent.
By definition and display, he cannot be nor is a leader. His minions and cronies have lied and admitted to such to the Justice Department as cover to Trump. If there is nothing there as he attests (lies) to, why not give testimony? Why the need for an ever increasing army of lawyers, to shield us from the truth? Protection? This despicable thing and his other guilty wingmen/wingwomen should face the consequences of treason, the way meaningful consequences were historically, when they were actually consequential.
At what point, and at what cost will the conscious of those who elected him demand answers, truth, and consequences? And why does he get a free pass to get away from such behavior? Of course space limitations prohibit even a partial list of the lies of this sociopath who despises women, minorities, immigrants, non-whites, poor. Trump 2020?
