Regarding the Wednesday letter “Democrats, in fact, are not the enemy”:
The writer is uninformed about the words and deeds by Democrats that aid our enemies in the propaganda war. The writer must get all his information from the left-wing network TV and print media. Fox is the only source for the other side. They give both sides of most issues.
Examples of words that aid the enemy are: Sen. Dick Durban (D) on the floor of the Senate compared our troops at Gitmo to Hitler’s SS at the death camps and Stalin’s goulags. Sen. John Kerry (D) on the floor of the Senate accused our boys of “terrorizing women and children in the dark of night.” Rep. John Murtha (D) pronounced our troops guilty of an atrocity before all the evidence was in, let alone a trial. He did this at every microphone he could get to. All these words wind up on Al-Jeezera TV all over the world and are of great help in the propaganda war.
Examples of Demo deeds that aid our enemies: Harry Reid gleefuly announcing “We killed the Patriot Act.” He had a half-dozen equally joyous Dems standing behind him. When liberal career employees of the intelligence agencies leaked classified anti-terror programs (phone calls, bank fund transfers and interrogation methods), Demos came out against every anti-terror tool in America’s tool bag. Demos want to give all the same legal rights of Americans to captured terrorists. Soon our troops will have to read Miranda rights to prisoners.
The interests of America and the Democrat Party are at odds. If America loses the war in Iraq, and the war on terror, it is good for Democrats. We will lose if Demos can destroy our will to persevere. That worked in the ’60s in Vietnam.
