Words matter in news coverage; use correct terms

I continue to read in The Herald incorrect terminology. It isn’t Obamacare; it’s the Affordable Care Act or ACA. The people heading to the U.S. southern border are not “migrants;” they are our neighbors, coming to us for asylum from a region we have done much to destabilize.

I believe that words do matter, and poor or lazy choices will continue to lessen us as a people.

I ask you, as purveyors of our news, to please strive to use the correct words when you write.
